“Who’s Fault”
When there is conflict there is always someone or something at fault. In Romeo and Juliet there is a lot of conflict, for example Romeo and Juliet’s own death. So who is at fault for that conflict? While there are many options and opinions for whose fault it could be, there is a string of events that lead back to Tybalt. For example he challenged Romeo to fight, he fought Mercutio and Romeo against Romeos wishes, and he also killed Mercutio putting Romeo into a rage and getting himself killed. Tybalt has a temper and is skilled in combat which makes him a hard foe to go up against but his main problem is that he gets to caught up in the family feud which angers him when romeo is at a Capulet party which is the main reason why he is at fault for the deaths of romeo and Juliet.
The first reason that makes it look like Tybalt’s fault is when he challenged Romeo to fight. He challenged romeo to fight because romeo was at the Capulet party and Tybalt got mad because he is to caught up in the family feud by challenging Romeo to a duel Tybalt was going to try and hurt Romeo or worse kill him when Romeo declines the fight, now that he knows Tybalt is family, it makes Mercutio step in and engage Tybalt.
The second situation that makes Tybalt seem at fault is when he actually fights Romeo and Mercutio. Instead of backing down when Romeo declines the fight because as he hints to Tybalt they are family by saying “I love your name as if it were my own”, Tybalt then fights Mercutio and because Romeo doesn’t want Tybalt or Mercutio hurt he try’s to get them to stop fighting which makes them fight more.
The last reason why Tybalt seems at fault is when he killed Mercutio. When Tybalt is fighting Mercutio Romeo doesn’t want either of them to get hurt because Tybalt is family and Mercutio is a good friend so Romeo blocks Mercutio which makes him vulnerable and Tybalt takes his chance and stabs Mercutio Mercutio confirms he has been stabbed by Tybalt from romeo getting in the way when he says “I was hurt under your arm romeo”(III, i, 16). this proves that Tybalt is at fault because Tybalt killed Mercutio which makes romeo fight Tybalt resulting in his banishment
These three choices that Tybalt made are the biggest reasons why he is the most at fault for the death of Romeo and Juliet. when he gets too worked up over a family feud and challenges romeo when he fights anyway and when he dies. All these tie to the deaths of romeo and Juliet.

Through evil night of fair Verona, a
Young curtain of love hangs over the Capulet house
But within two star cross’d lovers plan for their future
Ah, but the devil has other plans of poison and death.
Look to the innocent face of the lovers and see
That they know nothing about the future

Entry 81. It is I Romeo. Tonight I met an angel, Her name is Juliet we met at a Capulet party, it is that very reason that this has become a problem, for you see she is a Capulet. My true love a Capulet, oh why does she have to be a Capulet!? it was love at first sight, her cheek glowed in the moonlight, her eyes were those of the African jewels, and she was more beautiful than anything I could ever imagine, I walked up to her, and used my best pick up line and we kissed, she told me that I kissed by the book. I am done swooning and whining over Rosalyn, she never loved me, but this new girl Juliet, I know she loves me, and I know I love her, I will go back to her tonight. the only problem is how will I break the news to my best friends, Mercutio, and Benvolio I am worried what they will not approve since she is a Capulet, I should go and ask father friar Lawrence what to do. until next time Diary.

Dear: Abby, Hello I am a 14 year old boy I am a Montague, but I have a problem, I swoon over thy enemy. In other words I am in love with a Capulet, she has the skin that puts stars to shame, her eyes are the most magnificent jewels in the world, and is more beautiful than one thousand angles.
